Yesterday, Apple released minor updates for its operating systems, iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1. The new software arrives a few weeks after the release of iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4, which included changes for apps in the European Union, new emojis, podcast transcripts and other features.
You can download this update over the air on eligible iPhones and iPads by going to Settings > General > Software Update. The Cupertino company also released an iOS 16.7.7 security update for customers who are still on iOS 16.
What is new in
iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.1?
The company’s release notes state that only important security updates and bug fixes are included. For iPadOS, this update also fixes a QR code scanning bug that affected some iPads. With betas expected in the coming weeks, Apple will probably start testing iOS 17.5 soon.
