According to code found in the latest version of iOS 17.4 released by Apple, the company is working on an updated version of the on-ear Beats Solo headphones. Aaron Perris, a MacRumors contributor, discovered several images that show the Beats Solo 4 headphones.
The Beats Solo 4 look similar to the Solo 3 headphones, but their design is different from the Beats Studio Pro. Although support for Spatial Audio appears in the code, it is still unknown which other features may arrive in the future.

The colours in the file are black, pink and blue. Better sound quality and support for Personalized Spatial Audio are some of the changes introduced last year with the Beats Studio Pro. In addition, the headphones can use the same controls as the Studio Pro: one tap on the “b” button to play, pause and answer calls, a double tap to skip tracks, and a long press to activate Siri. To keep the headphones compatible with other Apple products, the company is expected to replace the old micro-USB port with a new USB-C port.
Apple released the Solo 3 headphones a long time ago, back in 2016 if you remember. Since then, there have been no changes apart from colour updates. The Solo 4 will be the first significant improvements to on-ear headphones in a long time.
