Apple’s new iPad Air

Apple has just raised the bar for tablets with the launch of the new iPad Air, equipped with the revolutionary M3 chip instead of the M4. Announced in March 2025, this device promises to redefine the user experience, combining exceptional performance, elegant design, and advanced features compared to the previous model.

Superior performance with the M3 chip

The big highlight of the new iPad Air is, without a doubt, Apple’s M3 chip. Based on 3-nanometer architecture, the M3 delivers a significant leap in efficiency and processing power compared to its predecessor. According to Apple, the new chip is up to 20% faster than the M2, ensuring that intensive tasks such as video editing, gaming, and multitasking are carried out with impressive smoothness.

The M3 also brings improvements to the GPU, delivering more realistic and smoother graphics, perfect for gamers and creatives. An enhanced Neural Engine also allows artificial intelligence and machine learning applications to run more efficiently, opening the door to new possibilities in productivity and entertainment.

Elegant design and stunning display

The iPad Air keeps Apple’s iconic design, with thin bezels and a light, portable build. The Liquid Retina display, available in 11 and 13 inches, continues to impress with vibrant colours and sharp detail. True Tone technology automatically adjusts the colour balance according to ambient lighting, ensuring a comfortable visual experience in any situation.

It is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C), as well as the new Magic Keyboard, turning it into a powerful productivity tool for professionals and students.

The new Magic Keyboard is also compatible with:

  • 13″ iPad Air (M2 and M3)
  • 11″ iPad Air (M2 and M3)
  • iPad Air (4th and 5th generation)
Connectivity and battery life

It supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E, offering faster and more stable internet speeds, and it has 5G options for those who need ultra-fast mobile connectivity. It includes a USB-C port with data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps.

In terms of cameras, both models have a 12-megapixel Center Stage front camera and a 12-megapixel rear wide camera.

The battery, as always, is a strong point, providing up to 10 hours of continuous use, depending on activity.

Price and availability

The new iPad Air is available in several storage configurations, starting at 128GB and going up to 1TB. Prices vary according to capacity, for example the 11-inch model starts at $729 and the 13-inch model starts at $979. The new Magic Keyboard starts at $329.

You can place a preorder whenever you like, since the new models will be available on March 12.
