The Austrian developer Objective Development has announced the release of Little Snitch 6, the latest update to its popular firewall and network monitoring utility for Mac. A redesigned interactive traffic graph, built-in blocklists, and DNS encryption are some of the new features added in this version.
New features in Little Snitch 6
- DNS encryption: Little Snitch 6 allows server name lookups to be encrypted to protect online activity from prying eyes.
- Built-in blocklists: Users can now choose from carefully curated blocklists and install them with a single click, providing more protection against unwanted connections.
- Menu Bar Control Center: View recent activity graphs, find blocked connections, and get quick access to important network data directly from the menu bar.
- Interactive traffic graph: A redesigned, intuitive real-time traffic graph provides a clearer view and analysis of network activity.
- Hierarchical connection grouping: Connections can be grouped by application, domain, server, or country to gain deeper insight into network traffic.
