13- and 15-inch MacBook Air with M3 chip
Apple states that the new MacBook Air is up to 60% faster than the M1 model and up to 13x faster than the Intel-based MacBook Air. The company says MacBook Air remains “the best consumer laptop for AI” thanks to its faster and more efficient Neural Engine. It also includes an AV1 decode engine so streaming services can deliver video with higher efficiency and quality.
Besides the M3 chip, the new MacBook Air includes Wi-Fi 6E, voice isolation and wide spectrum microphone modes, clearer voice in audio and video calls, and a Midnight finish that resists fingerprints more effectively. Unlike previous Apple silicon models, it now supports up to two external displays when the laptop lid is closed.
Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air start today and customers can receive their orders on Friday, March 8. Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray and Silver remain available, starting at 1349$.
