The 5 best possible features of the Apple Watch Ultra 3

We are just one month away from Apple’s September event, and a Watch Ultra 3 will possibly be introduced that will surpass the version launched in 2023. Let’s look at the 5 best features coming to this highly desired accessory.

What might change?

  • Satellite connectivity: The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be the first to have satellite connectivity, which means you can get help even when you have no network or Wi-Fi.
  • Larger display: It seems it will have thinner bezels, leaving room for a larger display.
  • 5G: All Apple Watches use LTE, but rumours suggest that Apple will adopt MediaTek’s chip with 5G RedCap support, a service for devices that do not need full 5G but should still be faster than LTE.
  • Faster S11 chip: Apple regularly updates the chips in Apple Watch models. The S11 is expected to be more compact, and we may see some battery improvements.
  • Blood pressure monitoring: It is not certain this will be an option on the Apple Watch, but the Cupertino company has been working on it.

Conclusion

Most of these features are also rumours for the Apple Watch Series 11, with the exception of satellite connectivity and the larger display. The Series 10 gained a larger screen last year, and satellite functionality will likely remain exclusive to the Ultra.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch Series 11 will have access to watchOS 26, with its Liquid Glass, an updated Smart Stack, and a customisable Control Center.

September 9 will probably be the day Apple holds the iPhone event. We will wait for that day, when we may see the updated Apple Watch.
