Apple recently launched the new MacBook Pro with the M4 chip. Now everyone is asking when the other Mac models with the M4 chip will be released.
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the M4 MacBook Air will launch in early 2025. The M4 Mac Studio will be released between March and June 2025, and the M4 Mac Pro will arrive in the summer of 2025.
The M4 MacBook Air is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2025. These new 13 and 15-inch models will be updated with the M4 chip, keeping the current design and focusing on processor performance. The base model is expected to come with at least 16 GB of RAM and a new 12 MP camera system with support for Desk View.
Mac Studio M4
The M4 Mac Studio will be released between March and June 2025. Equipped with either an M4 Ultra or M4 Max processor, the Mac Studio will remain a powerful workstation, ideal for professionals who need high performance. The design is expected to be updated, possibly following the Mac mini’s pattern, making it more compact and efficient.
The M4 Mac Pro will be released in the summer of 2025. This even more powerful model will be equipped with the M4 Ultra chip, which may include:
- Up to 32 CPU cores
- 80 GPU cores
- As well as support for up to 512 GB of memory.
The Mac Pro will be ideal for users who need maximum performance for intensive tasks such as video editing and graphic design. No design changes are expected.
The new M4 processors are built on a 3 nm process, offering significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency. In addition, the M4 includes an enhanced Neural Engine, ideal for artificial intelligence and machine learning tasks.
