iOS 26.6 and macOS 26.6: Security Fixes and Updates

Apple has launched iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6 and macOS Tahoe 26.6 with a significant focus on security, reliability and preparing for future versions of the operating system.

macOS Tahoe 26.6 resolves more than 130 vulnerabilities including flaws that may let an attacker to access protected data, escalate their privileges to administrator or execute malware with elevated privileges.

The changes include things like APFS, the App Store, WebKit, CoreAudio, CoreMedia, Contacts, CUPS, graphics drivers and Gatekeeper.

Apple has also launched macOS Sequoia 15.7.8 and macOS Sonoma 14.8.8 for Macs that don’t have macOS Tahoe.

Users can install the update via System Settings > General > Software Update.

Yes. iOS 26.6 and macOS Tahoe 26.6 don’t bring any new apparent features, but patch a huge number of vulnerabilities and enhance the security of the devices.
