iPhone 18 Pro: the new features rumoured for 2026

Apple has not officially announced the iPhone 18 Pro yet, but the rumor mill is already shaping the next iteration of the company’s most crucial launch for 2026. According to sites like 9to5Mac and MacRumors the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be all about design, performance, battery life, cameras and connections.

Apple has not confirmed any of this, but the information we have so far gives us a good indication of where the company might target the next evolution of the Pro range.

Design with a smaller Dynamic Island

One of the most exciting updates is on the face of the iPhone 18 Pro. Rumor has said that Apple may shrink the Dynamic Island by potentially relocating certain Face ID components beneath the display.

This rumour still exists in several variants. Some sources report under-display Face ID with a small cutout for the front camera. Another option is a more modest solution with a smaller Dynamic Island. Whichever way, the aim appears to be clear: to make the iPhone more akin to a cleaner visual experience with less disturbance on the screen.
