What comes next for Mac Studio and Mac Pro

Apple is developing the M4 chip family with at least three main variants: an entry-level version (Donan), a more powerful version (Brava) and a top-tier chip (Hidra).

A new Mac Pro is expected only in 2025, equipped with an M4 chip, whereas the current version is based on the M2. Although there are no specific details, it is assumed this will be the Hidra version. The next Mac Pro may support up to 512 GB of Unified Memory, a significant increase over the current 192 GB limit, though still far from the 1.5 TB of RAM supported by the Intel version.

Apple is testing two versions of the Mac Studio: one with an as-yet-unreleased M3 chip, which could arrive later this year, and another with a variant of the M4 Brava processor. A new Mac Studio with the M4 can be expected in 2025.
