New AirPods Max Firmware Update to Version 6F25

Apple recently released a new firmware update for the AirPods Max with Lightning connector, raising the version to 6F25. This is the first update since October 2024, when version 6F21 was made available. Although Apple has not provided specific details about the changes, these updates typically include bug fixes and performance improvements.

To ensure your AirPods Max are up to date, follow the steps below

  1. Check the firmware version: Connect the AirPods Max to your iPhone or iPad. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the “i” next to your AirPods’ name, and check the firmware version.
  2. Update the firmware:
    • Make sure your iOS or macOS device is connected to Wi-Fi and that your AirPods Max are within Bluetooth range.
    • Connect the AirPods Max to a power source using the charging cable.
    • Wait at least 30 minutes for the update to complete automatically.

If the update does not occur, you can reset your AirPods Max and repeat the process.

Keeping your AirPods Max firmware up to date is essential to ensure the best performance and access to the latest features.
